"A Musher Friendly Event"
Four races: all start in Deer River, MN
- 10 Dog Pro Class - 130 miles
total; race to Northome, Effie, Bigfork and finish in Marcell, MN.
- 8 Dog Pro Class - 60 miles total with
no checkpoint, finish in Northome.
- 4-6 Dog Trophy Class - 38 miles
total. Go 18 miles to a rest area for a 2 hour layover then race the 20 miles to Squaw Lake, MN.
- 4-6 Dog Recreational Class - 18
miles total with a straight run to the finish at Gosh Dam Place.

To make this a musher-friendly event we will assign start
positions in order of sign up. The award ceremony on Saturday evening for Trophy & Recreation Classes plus at Sunday noon for the 10-Dog and 8-Dog classes
will also be very short so you can be back on the road for your home as soon as
possible.
We offer check-in/registration and vet checks on Friday,
January 9thth at the White Oak Fur Post, 33155 State Hwy 6, Deer River, MN 56636
Registration: Sign up by January 2nd, noon, 2009. Mail registration form , musher
biography and check to Laura Gloor , 522 E Howard St #105, Hibbing, MN 55746. Make check payable to: White Oak Sled Dog Classic.
Bib numbers and start times will be assigned by the board in order
of entry received. Bibs will be available at the registration table
with your musher packet.
Friday, January 9,2009 - You are invited to mingle at the spaghetti meal from 5-9 pm at the White Oak Fur Post in Deer River, MN.
Prices will be as low as possible.
Mandatory musher meeting - for all racers - is 7:00 pm, Friday at the King School, Deer River. Directions provided at registration.
Saturday, Jan 10th, 2009 - Races start at 10 am in Deer River, MN.
Saturday evening, Jan 10th, 2009 - Awards Ceremony for Trophy and Recreation Classes held in the Squaw Lake Community Center. Local service organization will be serving food.Mandatory attendance to receive a prize.
The awards ceremony for the 10-Dog and 8-Dog Classes will be 12:00 noon, Sunday January 11, 2009 in the Marcell Community Center. You
must be present to accept your awards. A continous pancake feed will be available all morning in
the Marcell Community Center.
